Megan’s executive career began in the local government sector, latterly as Assistant Chief Executive responsible for transformation and change with Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council from 2006 to 2012. 

She has worked as a non-executive director in Staffordshire for five years, and has a particular interest in mental health and community services transformation, most recently at Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust where Megan was also Vice Chair and Senior Independent Director. Megan will be stepping down from these roles to join the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board (ICB). 

Megan lives on the border of Cheshire and Staffordshire with her husband and two school-age children. She says: “I’m delighted to be joining the ICB, and to have the opportunity to work collaboratively with partners across the whole system to provide high quality, joined-up care for our local populations. This is a great opportunity to focus on keeping people healthier for longer, preventing ill-health and ensuring the voices of service users are heard, and I’m honoured to be part of this effort in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.”
