Josie Spencer is a nurse by background, with 39 years’ service to the NHS.

She was formerly Chief Executive of Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust from 2018 to 2021, and has held a number of director positions across community, mental health and acute care.

Born in Tamworth, Josie still has close family living in the area.

This will be her first non-executive director position.

Josie says: “I believe that working together in the ICS and as a member of the Integrated Care Board is the best opportunity we have to ensure our population gets the seamless care they deserve.

“I am delighted to be offered this exciting challenge. What really matters to me is making a difference to everyone in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent – particularly those that we know have the greatest social and health disadvantages.”
