Freedom of Information

Home » Contact us »
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 provides a right of access to a wide range of information held by public authorities, including the NHS. The purpose is to promote greater openness and accountability.
Anyone has the right to ask the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board (ICB) for any information, although there are some exemptions that may prevent it being released. You may look at the list of exemptions on the ICO website.
We are committed to keeping you informed about your local NHS services across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent , so we have already published a wide range of information about what we do. So before making an FOI request, check to see if we have already published the information you are looking for on this website as part of our Model Publication Scheme or our Policies or Plans and Strategies.
Information held by other organisations
Please be advised that the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent ICB is responsible for the commissioning of health and social care services and does not hold data on behalf of the Integrated Care System (ICS). The ICS is not a statutory body and therefore not subject to FOIA.
Requests made of our ICB named as ICS will only be answered on behalf of our own ICB-only element and a Section 21 exemption applied for any remaining, non-ICB elements about the ICS. With those being redirected to other, relevant Statutory Partner FOI contact points (as Public Authorities under FOIA).
Where possible, send your request directly to the team who deal with information requests. There are some dedicated websites, like WhatDoTheyKnow, that can help you submit requests to public authorities.
Listed below are organisations who have a responsibility for providing health and social care services for residents of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent
- Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust
- University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust
- North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust
